Based in Lismore Northern NSW, North Coast Petroleum is a  wholly Australian owned and operated family company.  We are a major petroleum retailer and wholesaler, servicing much of regional New South Wales and Southern and Central Queensland.

About you

We are seeking someone who is genuinely passionate about providing customer service to our employees.  This is an excellent opportunity for a highly driven candidate with customer service experience and either possessing prior IT experience, or have recently completed or currently completing a Cert 4 or Diploma in Information Technology.

To be successful in this role,  you must be technically competent, able to communicate clearly to users with varying level of knowledge of ICT, and maintain a high level of courtesy, efficiency, service and support at all times.

 

Key duties

· First point of contact for ICT support.  Actively encourage use of helpdesk by employees.

· Effective prioritising and management of ICT issues through to conclusion.

· Routing and escalating ICT issues according to ICT procedures and guidelines.

· Performing user systems administration in Active Directory and Exchange.

· Desktop support tasks (software & hardware) with a strong focus on security.

· Network performance monitoring and assistance with review and resolution.

· Maintain data backup and redundancy controls.

· Thorough documentation (revision and creation) of ICT operating environments and networks.

The successful applicant must possess:

· Solid grasp of fundamental hardware and networking concepts—desktop & mobile.

· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including MO365

· Outstanding technical trouble-shooting skills.

· Enthusiastic and energetic

· Keen to learn and keen to share knowledge gained.

· Exceptional work ethic including attention to detail, time-management skills.

· Current drivers license.

· Capable to drive to our sites and stay overnight as required.

· Due to the permanent nature of this role, you MUST HAVE valid authority to work in Australia.
